Context: Around one in every six candidates hired so far under Mission Recruitment or Rozgar Melas, the Government’s bulk recruitment drive to fill 10 lakh posts by 2023 end, were women. Of these, 3,61,763 (84%) recruits were male and 68,783 (16%) women, shows data available from the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions.

- The recruitments are largely in posts of Group B and Group C level, which directly helps these departments to provide a higher quality of service at the cutting-edge level to the citizens.
- All the recruitments taking place through the recruitment agencies like Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), and Railway Recruitment Board(RRBs) in a time-bound and transparent manner
- The newly inducted appointees are also getting an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module on the Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT) Karmayogi portal, where more than 400 e-learning courses have been made available for ‘anywhere any device’ learning format.
