How is the age calculated for UPSC?
Your age is calculated as of 1st August of the exam year. For example, if the UPSC exam is in 2025, then your age on 1st August 2025 will be considered.
Can I attempt UPSC after 30 years of age?
Yes, but only if you belong to the OBC (max 35 years), SC/ST (max 37 years), or PwBD (max 42-47 years) categories. General category candidates must be under 32 years. (please refer official notification)
