What is society?
A society is a concept used to describe the structured relations and institutions among a large community of people.
Different sociologists define society differently but some of the common elements/features of society are
- A group of people who interact and identify with one another,
- These people live in a defined geographic area or territory and
- People in this group share a common culture.
society is a process rather than a thing, and a system of relationships rather than a collection of individuals.
