Mizoram is a northeastern state spread across a total area of 21081 Kilometers. Mizoram State was established on 20 February 1987 with seven sister states in India. Mizoram has a fixed administrative structure, dividing the state into 11 Districts and many subdivisions.

There were only 5 Districts in the state, but now, the total number of Mizoram District is 11.  We have shared the names of all the districts in Mizoram along with the district map.

How Many Districts in Mizoram?

Mizoram has been divided into 11 districts. It became a full-fledged state on 20 February 1987, and before getting so, it was a union territory on 21 January 1972. At that time, there were only three districts in the state. Some places included Aizawl, Chhimtuipui, and Lunglei, among others. However, the Indian government, on 20th February 1987, officially declared the state of Mizoram.
